Hackney/Davies Reception 10/18/08
October 21st, 2008
Elizabeth and Joe had a beautiful reception at Rose Hill Plantation ,one of my favorite venues. If you haven’t ever been out there, it is awesome, you should go and check it out. Anyway, the introduction was only the bride and groom to U2’s “Beautiful Day”. They came in and sat down and then there was a welcome from the father of the bride and a blessing from the grandfather of the bride. After a lovely seated dinner, they cut the cake and then went into their first dance, “The Way You Look Tonight” by Michael Buble. After that, Elizabeth danced with her father and Joe danced with his mom to “What a Wonderful World” by Louis Armstrong. Next, it was time to dance! I opened up the floor with a mix of oldies and beach and the party was on! I worked through a ton of requests ranging from “Lady Soul” by the Temptations to “Crank That” by Soulja Boy (misery). Anyway, it looked like everyone had a great time and Joe and Elizabeth left under a shower of rose petals!
