Newman/Dupriest Reception 10/4/08

Lauren and Walter’s reception was at the amazing Fearrington Their ceremony was outside and the weather was great. As the guests moved inside, they were not only treated with food and music, but the bride and groom rented out our portable photo booth! This proved to be a major hit at the party. In fact, the guests put their second photo strip copy in a scrapbook and wrote comments beside them. The couple loved it!
As for the reception, great as usual when held at the Fearrington Barn. I nailed the introductions to The Who’s “Baba O’Riley”. When the first power chord hit, I timed it perfect and said their name. Walter loved that part. Their first dance to Sam Cooke’s “You Send Me” was perfect. I love that song. They had a really long dance set with a few breaks, but for the most part, this was a massive dance party. The guests were treated to a great song list that the bride and groom worked on from our website. I mixed all types of music and they stayed on the dance floor until midnight. The ending was a big sparkler sendoff. This was a great reception. Check out the great pictures from my friend and photographer Katie Hamister.
