I’m on the plane heading back to Raleigh from Las Vegas. We just finished up our 3rd year of attending this huge DJ conference in Las Vegas. Two of my DJ’s, Randy Bennett and Mark Toney made the trip as well. We all learned a lot and got to see a ton of new DJ gear which is always fun.

Tuesday through Thursday, I was basically in seminars started at 8am until around 4pm. We covered everything from being a better MC to marketing to remixing songs. It is exhausting, but is a very well produced DJ show. Of course, at night we would hit the strip hard. I will give you a rundown of that as well. Monday night after arriving we went to Wynn where we had dinner at Daniel Boloud. A great restaurant with a view of the wildest light and water show you have ever seen every 30 minutes. I shut it down early that night. Tuesday night we were back out and hit The Palms. Nove is an Italian Restaurant on the 50th floor of their new tower…amazing view and food. Next, we went up to the 51st floor to the Playboy Club that has blackjack with bunnies as dealers, nice! Finally,we ended up on the top floor at their nightclub Moon. This place is unreal. The DJ, sound and lights are out of control, but nothing tops the fact that the roof opens to the sky! Wednesday night was probably the best. We went to the Cirque du Soleil show O at the Bellagio. This show is set primarily in water and our seats were so close that we got wet! You have to see this show if go out to Vegas, I’m making it mandatory. Finally, we wound up at DJ AM and company’s new club at the Luxor called LAX. It was cool, but crazy crowded and everyone just wants to see celebrities instead of wanting to dance. Paris showed up and babbled something on the microphone, but I was long gone by then, LOL. A great trip altogether. I will be bringing back a lot of memories and a lot of knowledge.
