Antini/Olson Reception 8/9/08

Steve and Amy’s reception was absolutely off the hook! I always seem to have great dancing crowds at Brier Creek and this reception was no different. Steve and Amy showed up looking great and as I was lining them up in the hall, I could tell this crowd came to party. One guy said he was going to get naked for the formal introductions (thankfully he didn’t). The bridal party came charging in to Beyonce’s “Crazy In Love”, but Steve and Amy switched it up for their entrance to “The Imperial March” from Star Wars. It was perfect! They picked “If I Ain’t Got You” by Alicia Keys for their first dance and I could almost hear everyone singing along. Amy and her father danced to “Little Miss Magic” by Jimmy Buffett and I swear I almost cried, it was very touching.
Steve worked hard on his playlist and I did my best to honor it. It turns out he used to be a DJ, and I could tell. Great songs were on this list and the party was on from the first song! These people were NUTS and I was loving it! Now, for the best part, Steve and Amy wanted to do a “dance off”. They not only gave out gift certificates to the first and second place dancers, but they had a championship belt for the winner! It was from the movie Rocky, but they had taken out Rocky and Apollo’s pictures and stuck in Bobby Brown and Paula Abdul. Classic! The two finalists were breakdancing, flopping on the floor, and doing the best “worms” ever. What a great reception. I hope to get some awesome pictures from Kevin Milz for this blog soon.

I gave your name to another fellow at work whose daughter is getting married early next year. I told him if he wanted one of the best DJ's in the area he better call you now! Thanks again....
