DJ Joe Bunn-Weeks/Freeland Reception-October 10th, 2009
October 12th, 2009
Lynnette and Patrick’s reception took place at the newly rebuilt Chapel Hill Country Club I think this is only the second or third wedding there since it’s reopening. It is such a nice place now, totally all new, and Jeff Earley over there does a great job holding it all together! The ceremony was outside on this particular Saturday and I was hired to do the music and mics. The weather was “iffy” all afternoon and of course it started sprinkling just as Lynnette walked down the aisle. She made a joke about it and as they say, “the show must go on”. The officiant put it in high gear (thankfully, since all of my gear was getting wet!) and married them quickly. The guests hurried in to the reception area as the rain stopped and Michelle and Scott Faber of Scott Faber Photography got down to business with the formal photos. I pulled my gear under shelter and also went inside to start the cocktail tunes. The bridal party came in shortly after to “With This Ring” by The Platters and Lynette and Pat danced their first dance to “Amazed” by Lonestar which was sung by Patrick’s sister Senja and her daughter Halle. They also did “Bless the Broken Road” at the ceremony. Great singers! The guests were barely even through the food stations when people started dancing to my dinner music! I could tell this group came to party, and they definitely didn’t disappoint! The floor was packed all night only breaking for a few toasts, the cake cutting, and the bouquet and garter toss. This reception was a major dance party! It was a great time and I’m glad I was able to be a part of it! Check out the Faber Photos!
