Gillian and Craig’s reception was held at The State Club on NC State’s Centennial Campus. I really love this place. First, it’s an easy load in for a DJ! Secondly, it is a gorgeous room with a high ceiling and the 2nd floor overlooks the dance floor area. What a great view to see the whole party. Anyway, this event kicked off with “Start Me Up” by the Stones and everyone on their feet for the entrance of the bridal party and bride and groom! They went right into “You Are The Best Thing” by Ray Lamontagne. I DIE for this song! One of the best ever!!! Gillian danced with her dad to “Under the Boardwalk” by The Drifters (nice shag song), and Craig danced with his mom to “Here Comes the Sun” by the Beatles. Afterwards, the entire bridal party danced to “For Once in My Life” by Michael Buble. Next up-dinner! A great seated dinner was served, followed by champagne toasts and the cake cutting. Finally, my turn, it was dance time, and I got to play off of their great playlist and mix in some of my own tunes. I did beach and Motown early, and then started playing Top 40 later in the night.
