DJ Joe Bunn-Patel/Rudloff Reception-October 24th, 2009
October 26th, 2009
Lori and Bijal’s ceremony and reception took place in Fuquay Varina, NC at Highgrove. The weather was iffy at first and even right up until the beginning of the ceremony it was drizzling, but eventually it cleared up and they were able to have their outdoor ceremony. Kayelily Middleton was their officiant and did a great job of mixing Hindu and Christian elements to create the perfect union. After the ceremony, guests made their way to the patio for drinks and a special promegranate cocktail. After ushering guests into the main tent, I lined up the very large bridal party and introduced them to “I Gotta Feeling” by the Black Eyed Peas and everyone was pumped! Their first dance was to Ray Lamontagne’s “You Are the Best Thing”. Again, I can’t stress how good this song is! Lori then danced with her dad to “Cinderella” by Steven Curtis Chapman. Her grandfather gave the blessing and the food stations opened up to the guests. The food looked great as always! Dinner ended and we had some great toasts from Lori’s dad, her sister, and the best man. Cinda’s Creative Cakes created a huge coconut masterpiece and Lori and Bijal cut it right after the toasts. Next on the agenda-open dance floor! My turn to rock. This crowd came to get down! From song one, the dance floor was packed and I was all over the map musically! From Motown to the Electric Slide to Bollywood music to hip hop! I mixed them all and the crowd was jumping (literally). What an amazing reception, I just wish it had been longer!
