Katie and Rich’s reception took place at noon at Cafe Luna. This was my first wedding of a very long day, but luckily I had an awesome planner working with me to keep things moving. Tracy Adams of Adams & Events always has me smiling and laughing, all the while doing a great job! The guests arrived right around noon and went into the front room for cocktails. I had a small speaker in that room playing a mix of Rat Pack type stuff. After the bride and groom arrived, we moved into the second and third rooms and I went back to the entrance to line everyone up. Their introduction song was “Beautiful Day” by U2. After they came in, they went straight into their first dance, “This Years Love” by David Gray (I love this song so much). After the cake and toasts, it was time for the parent dances to “Unforgettable” and “Over the Rainbow” by Brother Iz. Next, it was time to dance (or so I hoped). You see, noon receptions are usually tough. It’s broad daylight, not alot of alcohol has flowed, etc. However, Katie and Rich’s friends and family came to party, they didn’t care what time it was! It was the best noon reception I’ve ever done…really! Great reception and they had a bubble departure outside on a gorgeous Saturday afternoon as they escaped to their town car. I can’t forget the room, it looked great thanks to Mel from Dogwood Tree Florals. Check out these great pictures from April Maness.
