Seery/Mooring Reception-May 16th, 2009
May 19th, 2009
Kristin and Alan’s reception was at Brier Creek Country Club and it looked amazing in there. They had their cocktail hour in Palmer’s Cove and then made their way into the ballroom where I was located for the introductions. The bridal party entered to “Better Together” by Jack Johnson and then I cranked it up a notch when the bride and groom came in with “Dance the Night Away” by Van Halen. Everyone loved their choice and then they went right into their special dances. I like when couples choose to do this. Get all three done right away so you can have fun the rest of the night. Their first dance was “Everything” by Michael Buble. Great song. She danced with her father to “I Loved Her First” by Heartland and then Alan danced with his mom to “The Man You’ve Become” by Molly Pasutti. Dinner came out after Kristin gave a neat car pinata to the couple that came the farthest distance (Washington state!) for their wedding. The food was great! After the toasts and cake, it was time to dance and from the first song until the last, the dance floor was rocking. I played all of their song list and then started mixing in some of my choices. It was a great reception and I can’t wait to see the pictures from Summer Gibbs Photography.
