Stefanie and Jonathan’s reception took place at the gorgeous TPC at Wakefield. Jaclyn Parks over there always does a great job with weddings, and things get even better when Cara Zuehlke and her staff from A Southern Soiree get involved. They did a great job with the turquoise and red theme, amazing blue caramel apples, red flowers, beautiful linens and everything else! It was a lovely reception, but let me rewind. The ceremony was outside on a really hot day, but luckily it was late around 7pm so it wasn’t too bad. As the reception began inside, cocktails flowed and I could tell it was going to be a good night. I lined up the bridal party outside the smaller of the two ballrooms. They all came in dancing to “Sexyback” and then the bride and groom went right into their first dance “Then” by Brad Paisley. It was a great way to start the night. Afterwards, the doors opened to the dining room and the guests were wowed. After a brief welcome and blessing, the buffet opened and everyone had a great meal. We started the night back up with toasts, cake cutting and parent dances. After that, it was party time! This crowd was young, primarily ECU Pirates, and ready to party! I think they may have set a bar tab record for the club! You gotta love that! From the first song to the last, they rocked. I loved DJ’ing this reception and I hope everyone had a great time.
