Anna and Matt’s reception was this past Saturday at Embassy Suites in Cary. The room was decorated absolutely gorgeous. Angie Wright from Chic Details made sure every detail was perfect. We started off with announcing the bridal party which led into Anna and Matt’s first dance as husband and wife to The Fray’s “Look After You”. Just after the first dance, Anna’s Father Bob welcomed all the guests, then a blessing and dinner. After dinner, Erin the Maid of Honor and Matt’s father John, the best man gave 2 unforgettable toasts. Erin paid back Anna 200 pennies from their childhood, and John gave an explanation of “Angel Blue” which is taught exclusively at Meredith College. The term “Angel Blue” is the “look” a woman gives her partner when he has spoken out of turn, or needs to be reprimanded. After that we turned our attention to the cake which Anna and Matt cut avoiding any long term devastating effects on the new family. Then the dancing resumed with Anna and her father dancing to Rascal Flatt’s “My Wish”. Then Matt danced with his mother to the song by Leanne Womack “I Hope you Dance”. We kicked off the open dancing with the Temptations’ version of “Ain’t no Mountain High Enough” and the fun never ended. A bit later Anna tossed the bouquet to Beyonce’s “Single Ladies” and Matt tossed the garter to the “James Bond Theme”. When we re-opened the dance floor, it stayed packed the rest of the night. The last song of the night was Marvin Gaye’s “Let’s Get it On”. Bridget from Neil Boyd Photography was capturing the images. Below is a sneak preview of the pictures. The night was capped off by a sparkler and bubble exit in front of the Hotel. Another great night.
August 31st, 2009 at 10:49 PM Ken you did a fabulous job of keeping everyone out on the dance floor all night at Anna & Matt's reception. It was a blast from start to finish! Hope we get to work together again soon. Anna and Matt are a wonderful couple and I wish them all the best!
